Good looking bike but then that means that the frame and swing arm were both powdercoated. The only 2006 model with a black frame was the LE White.

That doesn't make sense either. Why would they go through all the trouble and leave the rear sets silver? ???

I'd call on the VIN # for sure to make sure...

I did call the VIN in thats how I know it was black/silver at birth. Im kinda puzzled too and I completely agree on leaving the rearsets silver......Thats on my winter projects list.....

Honestly I was one of those guys. I saw my first busa in a bike mag in 2003 at my uncles house. I showed it to him and said that's my bike someday. He looked at like I was crazy and said it was too big of a bike for me. (I'm 5'7" and 145lbs) he said I would be at home on a 1000. Well I bought my first bike from him which was a Suzuki 500. I had that for one summer before I sold it and went 2 summers without a bike before I found my busa. I did all the research I could and do most of my own maintenance also. I ask those questions from time to time on the org because there is no one here to teach me. Now I can ride well even though the bike is a little big for me. I can out do my friends on there 600,750,1000s in the twisties and get her to lift up better then the smaller bikes I ride with, all because I was willing to ask the org for help on how to ride. There's nothing better than the smaller bikes giving me crap because I ride a huge heavy bike that can only do well in a straight line. There's nothing more pleasing then telling a liter bike to put their money where there mouth is and see that face when they take the helmet off at the end of the ride. So yes there's alot of people out there that only see the name Hayabusa but there's some of us that are willing to learn and just need a little help

You had the willingness to learn, and knew when to ask questions. I mean the people who go out there and go balls out on a bike that they have no idea of what it can do. I just hate to see people kill their selves by thinking a busa is a good first bike.......I know there are exceptions and alot of people have it as a first bike. I truly dont thik a busa is a good learner bike though

I dont want to be rude but do people even read up on anything at all before going out and buying a busa? I wanted one of these bikes for a LONG time before I bought one. I also did an insane amount of reading up on the bike before I made my decision.

I see people on heRe and other sites that have no clue about the bike and asking how to drag knee or how drag race.... This along with any bike can kill you!

Me: Yea that is not stock height at all

Me: you said it has an aftermarket exhaust......where is it? Thats just a mid Pipe with some chrome tips on it.

Me: Man this things going to need a chain, its adjusted all the way back and still laying on the swingarm.

Can you post some close up pics of the manuf sticker on the left side of the frame and the frame neck with the stamped VIN?

Have you had the tank or tail section off and looked everything over real good?
