Well, unfortunately I dropped my Shark RSR2 helmet. It served me well for the past 2 years, but every dark cloud has a silver lining. Just ordered this helmet with the dark shield. Should be here in a week.

My KBC has hit the floor a few times. Still wearing it.

Nice lookin' bucket. I've never tried one of those on...

How would you characterize a Shark helmet?

Wind noise...

General 'feel' of moving parts...

Air flow (vents moving air over your mop)...

Availability of replacement liners...

Overall build quality...

Perceived value (protection for the $ paid)...

I have two gorgeous Icon helmets, but I know they're not as good as my Arais nor my Shoei. I use the Icon's mostly for gettin' 'round town (bike nights, etc.). The others I use for serious canyon carving days...it just makes me feel a little better.

Definitely a good lookin' piece, though.

Here is my opinion on shark helmets.

Cons:
I wear an XL but shark helmets are generally a little tighter fitting than the actual size.

Pros:
Light weight
Great finish (just as good as Shoei/Arai)
Love their shield change system - 2 push buttons
Feel of opening vents is good

Overall, shark helmets are comparable to any other helmet on the market. RSR2 is a great helmet. The one I have pictured is an S650 fusion tec and it will be the first of this line for me.
