The back looks a bit flat spotted in the middle, but can't really see the front. I just can't belive that tire has 4K miles on it. You are easy on tires. I agree with Tuf on this one. The tire gave you 4K miles, it owes you nothing. Get some new shoes on that thing.

Just one more thought, what is the manufacture date on the tires?

My experience with Michelins taught me that they are very finicky about pressures and suspension settings.

I think your problem will be solved by running 40-42 psi cold, and tuning the suspension for your weight.

I run PR2 rear and PP front, 42 psi back and 40 psi front. I have no issues.

He stated that he has 10K on the bike and this is his first replacement set, so even at 4K that means he got 6K out of the stockers. He is VERY easy on tires!

I'll pay shipping for those if you're gonna trash them! I can get a few hard miles out of those between my next tire change!

All the Pilots suck unless the air pressure is perfect for your weight and the temp/conditions you're riding at the time.:beerchug:

That tire looks really good for having anywhere near 4000 miles. I couldn't find any info directly from Michelin but what I found as quoted from Michelin...

street 35F/42R
track 33F/30R

Not the best source for info but I'd give 35F/35R if i were going to hit some curvy roads. You also may want to PM Captain, if i remeber right he was all excited about these tires when they first came out and went through a set or two.

Good Luck
