No new busa for 2019?

They should offer different motor configuration. Like na or turbo..... that would help. 12k price tag or the 25k price tag.

I would assume with a spacer and heli bars longer brake and clutch lines would be required yes?
Depends on how big the spacer is. I went with a 1in spacer and helibars, but I never tried that combo with stock lines, because I was upgrading brake system and had already ordered longer ones in anticipation to the mods I had planned on the handlebars. I have a 3/4inch spacer on the classifieds for sale with some lowering links that I’m selling as a set, if you are interested.

I just don't see Suzuki caring much about icons or images. How else do you let 2019 pass without a new Busa? How difficult is it to have a bike as iconic as the Busa, and then just waste the 20th anniversary with BNG? Suzuki seems to follow the beat of it's own drum. They build a great new Gixxer 1000 and then put garbage brakes and cheap parts everywhere on it so it can't be in the elite liter bikes. I fear Suzuki has lost the heart of the falcon and is now a corporate profit machine.
We want it now but historically Suzuki does not do anything right away and not in response to pressure. Remember when the zx14 came on the scene to upstage the Busa # wise? It took a long time they don't care what people think & will take the extra time to get it right and only release it when proven leaving nothing to chance. Remember when the gsx-r 1000 sales were down they said there will be no new model this year when current ones sell we will put $ into developing a new 1000 end of story. They think $ they think reputation what they don't do is take risks. The Honda Blackhawk was winning on the drag strip for many years hands down by a master until Honda said you winning on this bike we don't sell anymore does nothing for us financially. Start racing/developing your winning program around the 1000RR or we are pulling sponsorship next year!!! He drove that 1000 and was not competitive for a long while. To recap Suzuki does not do what is expected when expected and time is on there side. Remember when the Ninja 11's & 12 were the ruling top dogs? Think Suzuki was not developing/prototyping the 99 Bird back then? When they release a new Busa the want to leave nothing to chance just like when the 08 came out at last & they had professional rider from Japan & stunt man Jason Britton quarter mile test it to break 10 seconds; they loved it & no expense was spared. Think of it as preparing to throw the biggest best party to end all parties at least until upstaged.

A little rough math.
2019 BMW S1000rr-434lbs wet, 204hp. 2.12745098 lbs/hp

2019 Aprilia RSV4 Factory. 439lbs wet, 217hp. 2.02304147 lbs/hp

2019 Kawasaki h2. 529lbs wet, 228hp. 2.32017543 lbs/hp

Theoretical gen 3 Hayabusa. 575lbs wet (approximate), to get in the same ballpark (2.32 lb/hp give or take)as the above would mean somewhere in the neighborhood of 250-280hp. Highly unlikely such a bike comes in weighing a lot less than a gen 2. So would a 230-240hp naturally aspirated, 575lb Hayabusa for say 18 large do it for you?

That math may be a bit misleading.
Power(kW) = 2 x pi(3.142) x N(RPM) x T (torque in Nm)/60
So, it follows that with a speed governer of 300km/h, the extra power of a 1k screamer only comes into play at much higher RPM's compared to the Hayabusa. One has to take the torque curve of both bikes and impose power in proportion to engine speed. The Hayabusa may stay ahead up to around 9,000 rpm, while the 1K bike is playing catch-up.

If we throw the theory aside and look at practical results, none of these 1K screamers are faster in the 1/4 mile and they have to be wound up pretty much before the extra power comes into play.

I did say "rough" math!

Bone stock Gen 1's were in the 9's.
Streetbike shootout was dominated by big motor oil cooled gsxrs until the Busa showed up, then with a lot of help from Honda, Stoz took over with his XX
The busa was never designed to be competitive with a RSV, RR or any other liter bike. Apples and oranges. Our bikes are big, comfortable and ridiculously powerful. They're not light and nimble. They are a broadsword not a rapier.
Gobs of torque, no need to spin the engine to the moon.
