So I wanna add HD ultra to the stable to entice my better half to take mini trips with me. Just don't know if I really commit to another 36 months of bike payments. Just paid the Busa off in July.

look for something cheaper like a used Suzuki bulovard or some other cruiser then if she likes it move up to the harley

VTX 1800 ain't a bad ride and lotsa stuff made for them. My Bro has one and loves it, although he's shooting for a GW in the future. Personally, my 'other' bike is a HD and can't blame you for wanting the best in both worlds!

I would check out a Victory. I test road a Victory cross country tour and a HD ulta classic electra glide. the Victory was a far superior ride in all ereas. the wife even liked it better. I hope some day to add one to my stable.

They even have twin rotors ???

Go for the HD. My guess is that you'll both really enjoy it. Worst case is that neither of you like it, you sell it, and pay something for the experience.
