Thanks everyone!

So is it working better now? Till I came across Acehole's post I was wondering if anyone was ever gonna tell you to check the idle speed. Always go with the simplest things first. I got mine with 2000 miles on it, guy that had it before had never done anything to it. I've noticed a lot of them come from the factory set too low. Mine was at 900rpm and it was bad enough that if I'd take off hard then pull the clutch in the bike would shut off. Set it to about 1200 and you'll be golden. The fast idle is supposed to be set to about 3000.

First thing, install a battery tender. You'll save your battery.

I lubed it up so it can actually slide freely (aux throttle switch) and it worked much better. The rpms are a tad low I think for a total home run, so this weekend I'll pull it apart and adjust it up a smidge to where gmmech07 suggested.

Another little problem arose as well. Noticed the blinkers blink really fast... because the front ones don't work! Back ones are fine. I bought it this way (last Sunday). They don't work on the hazard 4 way switch either, just the back ones do again, so it's not the switch. This ever happen with you guys? I guess I have some homework for the weekend!

You might check to see if there are leds in the front turn signals, or the bulbs are both blown. A missing light and leds will both double the flash rate of a thermal flasher (OEM).

First of all, great lookin bike!

Second, it'll just take you some time to get used to starting her up and where the right setting is on the idle adjustment.

Third, I think stock signals always blink faster than other bikes. That's because we travel at higher speeds. Just common courtesy for others on the road! Probably not even wired up right with that blinker Mod you have.

Yes, they are. The back works fine in blinker or 4 way flasher mode, but nothing up front. I guess I have a lot of plastic to remove to even get at them to check a bulb.

Those are factory signals under there? The chrome is just a cover? I thought they were LED.

Its saves time and some trouble with that mod.Its a common problem for the idling part especially when its lots of carbon inside the exhaust. The idling would shoot up to 2 to 2.5 rpm if you go for high speed touring. It applies to the gixxers too

So if it's an led it may not be compatible? I assumed it's stock... maybe it's not. The previous owner never said anything about it.

I can't even reach the wiring much less the bulbs through the fairings. I'll remove the side panels I guess and see if that helps me get a hand up in there.

If they are LED turn signals they should still be coming on but blinking fast like you're talking about. I would think having two front turn signals would be really rare though. You will have to take the two smaller black inner panels off to work on the bulbs. Hopefully it's just two dead bulbs and not a wiring problem. :beerchug:

EDIT:
Okay, just looked at the pictures of your bike and you have Clear Alternative LED turn signals. I installed these on my 07 when I had it and if you just plug them in they will blink but blink fast like a dead bulb if you don't install the resistor. So that makes me think you have a wiring problem.

Here are the install instructions on their website and I'm sure you could find better install directions if you search the board.
