If trained properly, you dont need anything but iron. Everything else is a luxury.

+1 on iron.....optic gets lost, batts die.....now what? old iron sights is the way to go. well for me at least that's what i always qual on.

I am not really hunting squirrels with it. I may get an optic someday, that's why I put the flip up iron sights so I can keep them as backup if the optic dies.
