Just got my new 06 last week. I want to change the stock exhaust with a 4n1 exhaust but I hear that they melt the lower fairing. How can this be prevented and which sounds the best?

Melting the fairing depends on how close the mid is to the fairing. Some are closer than others, but can be protected with heatshield tape if necessary. Or you can cut some room in the bellypan to accomodate. As for the other question, you'll have to search that answer out yourself.

A good reason I went with Akrapovic Exh is fit and no burnt plastics .
