New cams and new tranny break in advice?

I finally got my beatch back on the corner...

I put in Yosh Stage 1's, R&D tranny, TMH HIVOL oil pump, new cam chain, etc etc No piston/head work. I will need the PCII redone later,

but my question is..

What should I consider when breaking in my new cams and pretty much new engine? Do I keep the RPM's at a point and the speed at a point for how many miles, do I just ride the beatch, whats up?

How long should I wait before I re-dyno and remap?

all the cams need is 4k for about 2 heat cycles and they are done.
andf i do mean 4k not idle....idle will kill a new cam

So put it on a stand at 4K and burn a tank a gas or ride it like that? I feel like such a dumb arse

I think what he meant was keep it under 4k for two rides. You know ride it under 4k...let it sit and cool off completely...ride it again under 4k...let it cool completely..ie overnight. Then ride it like you stole it!!!!

On a seperate note Iceman someone said you had HID headlight conversions. Still have some? or any idea where to find a good one? Any help you could offer would be great! Thanks ahead of time.

no I meant start it up on the stand in neutral and hold it at 4K
don't ride it

Thanks Cheese! I rode it when I first got it done to figure out a bent axel problem probably less than 3 miles, and 1/2 mile today working on something else. No really high rpm's did I fubar anything? DO I need to change the oil right away as well?
