hi everyone,
i finally stepped up to the plate after riding an 06 katana 750 for the last two years.all i can say about the busa is wow!i bought an 04 all stock silver and blue.the lockhart phillips carbon sliders are on the way and so are the clear front signals!i have one quick question for you all.will the cans from a 08 fit my bike?the guy i purchased the busa from tried to clean the cans with mild acid and it etched them.my wife won't let me buy aftermarket pipes yet and i thought the o8 black cans would look ok if they will fit.alot of them on ebay reasonable.thanks and glad to be here!

Welcome, not sure on the fitment and the stock cans weigh a ton. Why not powder coat the ones you have?

not a bad option.thanks didn't think about that

No problem brother, just check the heat limits, but I would think if you can keep your can below 300, you should be good to go!
Oh, and by the way..........we need pics bro!

Welcome and congrats! Another option that has been done is painting the cans with high heat paint, so there are a couple options. And yes we need pics! :rulez:

Congrats on the serious upgrade...

Welcome to the madness. It's a crazy place.

Assuredly, the Gen2 stock cans are weighty. I'd look at other alternatives, first.

Great family you've joined, bro.

Ride safe, ride sane, keep the shiney side up, and stick around awhile.
