Hello guys,

New to the forum here. I just picked up an 03 busa last Friday for 8k with 800 miles from a Dr. who had one to many toys. It has RS-3 Yosh slip-ons and power commander other than that it's stock. Last sport bike was an 01-R1 and before than I've owned Gixxer 750's, Honda superhawk, FZR600s and first bike was NS400R. I've been riding for 16 yrs. I took a two year break from sport bikes and bought a 03 Harley Fatboy. What was I thinking? Well I'm married with three kids and just started to have a whole new perspective in life, you know what I mean. It didn't work, every time I went out riding I'd see a pack of sport bikes and would just want one even more. Well the rest is history as the urge didn't last too long. Lucky for me I have a great wife who is very supportive and understands. I still have the fat boy and thinking of selling it but for now it's going to collect some dust. Glad to join the forum and looking to pick as many brains as I can. And by the way, what a great machine the BUSA is.

We'll forgive you the "Hardley deviance" as you obviously have seen the light and returned to the dark side.

Welcome

Welcome to the board. I did the same thing a few years ago when I bought a Valkyrie Interstate. Thought I'd reached a point in life to slow things a bit, tour and smell the roses, etc. What was I thinking? The roses smell much better when they're just a blur in my peripheral vision...

Thanks to all for welcoming me to the board. I'll post pics as soon as I get a new home computer, it died a few months back ha!ha!. I took the beast out for a spin yesterday as the only miles I had put on it were last Friday on the way to the house from where I bought it, 24 miles. It rained all weekend and finally yesterday the weather got nice. Well what can I say, other than this thing rocks. I need to work on setting up my suspension but other than that the bike feels and handles nice. Acceleration is insane on this thing. I got on it in 2nd gear and fanned the clutch just a bit and rode a very nice and short wheelie. Believe me, I prefer two wheels on the ground but this thing has so much power and torque you just can't avoid them. I didn't get on it too hard as I'm barely at 900 miles but from what I experienced yesterday this bike is going to make me very happy for years to come.
