Dude, thats a special ride you have right there... Any bike ridden by a man in his 80's is worthy of a second chance for sure..

Congrats!

New owner of a 2001 Hayabusa that we inherited from my wife's grandfather. It needs a little TLC since he tried to ride it in to his mid 80s and laid it down on both sides before giving it up. Both side fairings are pretty scraped up and the front nose cone is cracked, as well as the clutch handle having the end broken off. Other than that the Bike seems mechanically in great shape and fires right up. Does anyone know a good place to source fairings? I ride a Goldwing and do my own maintenance on her so I know enough to be dangerous.

You can have the fairings off the 2002 below, they might be a little small but are in good shape...

I used these little bikes as props when I taught the riding course through the college...I had sticks on them to show the students how to go through corners and ride in a group setting...

Did an oil change on it today. Now I have to figure out why clutch is not fully disengaging.
