Thanks for the welcome, everyone! Browsing through the forum, I've decided I'll probably just cut the ugly rear fender, leaving enough to mount the license plate, and put the Clear Concepts turn signals on the sides of the plate. Went and bought a torque wrench yesterday and downloaded a service manual, so when I start taking things apart, I can put them back together properly...
