Have 08 with 1500 miles, ran flawlessly before i too fuel pump out of tank to have tank painted. Reinstalled pump all connections made correctly, no crimps in fuel line or overflow tubes. Pump was out for about a week and i stored it in plastic bag. Pump primes, gauges cycle properly, fuel gauge registers. bike starts promptly and idles at 1100 rpm. However it has virtually no throttle response and when i blip the throttle it is extremely anemc. It almost feels like the exhaust or something is stopped up,(it isnt just trying to relay the feel) any suggestions on what I should be checking on.
