I'm replacing my front sprocket with a Vortex 16 tooth. When I removed the old one there was a washer behind the nut that held the sprocket on. It's recessed into the face of the stock sprocket. Do I put this back on the Vortex even though it's not recessed like stock. I would assume so but want to make sure before i go any further.

No. Front sprocket. The new Vortex is a flat sprocket and the stock has a lip on both sides. One of which has a washer that sits in there. I'm sure it has to go back on that way but just want to be sure before I button it all up.

Thanks guys. Took a quick ride over to Bill's just to confirm I had the right sprocket. I'm sure I'll be back with a wheelie report in a few days.
