well I'm ording a 42 tooth vortex "black coated" sprocket

and have a question

with 10,000 miles on the bike should I put a new front sprocket and chain on. since I changed the rear out?

If both look good then no need to change...If you look and see any concern then swap it all out...

thanks Stunnah.
Your chain, even if it's worn out, will show no visible signs of the up and coming cotastrophy of the upcoming seperation. Look in your technical manual and it will instruct you on how to measure wear on the chain. The front sprocket is visual. My guess is you have another 10K miles left on your front sprocket and stock chain. The Vortex sprocket you purchased is aluminum and you should get 10K miles out of it as well. My reccomendations would be to put the new Vortex sprocket on and run the used front sprocket and chain until the rear sprocket is worn out, then change the entire setup at that time.

My front stock sproket wore out before the stock rear one.

Best to take a look.

usually replace all when but even at 10,000 that is good milage
