Hi, all. When I was having trouble, I searched and followed this thread- I have loosened both preload collars ALL the way and there is no slack at all in the spring. With a lot of pressure, I can only slightly twist the spring. Looked at a cpl other threads and googled a bit but haven't found anything that helps.....

How do I get this thing off?

Thanks

There are a few videos on YouTube. If you have a compressor it takes about 10 minutes.

Be Very Careful when working with a spring compressor. They will take your 2 front toofers out in a "Ohhhh Chit" moment.

I was able to do a few without a compressor...it was a similar procedure as this link...it might be more difficult reassembling if the spring is longer
