called a local bike shop here and asked how much to do my intake cam mod. i was quoted $528. that includes:
1. pulling the spockets off the cams and pressing on the new adjustable sprockets
2. degreeing and timing the cams to the shop special specs (i asked what the specs were and they say they wont let you know until you have the work done)
3. performing a valve adjustment (since my motor has 20k miles on it)
just wanted to ask someone that has had this done or that owns a shop that does this kind of work if this is a fair price. i dont know myself b/c ive never had engine work done.
so all in all to do this mod it will cost:
$75 used intake cam
$160 adjustable sprockets
$528 labor
total of $763 to do this mod
does this sound ok or would it be better for me to get my dough back for the extra intake cam and buy some yosh or web cams?
