My Year 2000 Copper/Silver Busa Build

Howdy, I see you're in the UK, do you guys regulated to only waterborne products or can you still use solvents?
The basecoats i use are solvent which I mix 1 to 1 with thinners.
My primer is 2K and mixed 4 to1 with hardner, I also add between 20 and 50% thinners as its a HB primer.
My clearcoat is 2K mixed 2 to1 with hardner and between 10 & 20% Thinners.
I also add 20% of Kapci 616 Adflex to every coat when i'm painting ABS plastics.
When the Kapci 616 is used i use less thinners in the mix.
So if i pour 300mls of neat basecoat i add 60mls of Kapci 616 and 240mls Thinners.
For 300mls of Clearcoat, 60mls of Kapci 616, 150mls Hardner, upto 40mls Thinners.

I have found this mix works best for me and the 600ml spray guns i use.
I have a separate spray gun for each type of paint. So i dont need to worry about having to change the settings every time.

My compressor is a SIP 3HP 150Ltr units. I used 3 watertraps into the workshop, plus 2 more into the spraybooth. The air run though 20 meters of hose before it get to the last 2 watertraps. This help cool the air down which help catch any water in the traps. I have 2 lines in the spraybooth, one for my air mask and one for the spray gun. I use a total of 4 x 12" 80w fans. 2 push clean air into the booth and 2 to pull the air out. Both the inlet and outlet fans have filters to clean the air in and out of the booth.

It does the job i need it for.

I just didn't know if you guys were under tight voc regulations and forced to use water yet..

This weekend i painted just the lower wing and helmet to see how they would turn out.
Here is a photo of the lower wing, Its not finished as its only had 2 coats of clear so far.

I've been busy this morning moving stuff around in the home.
When i finished, i said to the wife "there you go, i made room for you to put up the xmas tree".
She said thank you and is looking forward to putting the tree up.
But i have a plan which i did not tell her.
Once the holiday is over and the tree has been taken down. I will have the space i want to build the display case for the Busa. I dont think she has clicked just yet as to why i was so helpful in making room for the tree. HA HA HA LOL

So i will start making the display case in january, so its ready for when the bike is finished.

I told my wife of your plans....she said that after she takes all the furniture in the divorce, I'd have all kinds of room to display bikes...

Then she got mad because she said I looked like I was actually picturing this.....

There's just no pleasing them it seems....

Well the wife has clicked, and she has asked how big is it going to be.
I told her 2400L x 1400H x 1000W. She then said how strong will it be.
I told her it will be very strong. She said thats good. I said why ?
Her reply was " well you can make a bed to go on top of it then".
I'd tell her there's no way you'd let her sleep on top of your baby.....
