So I bought my first pistol Monday. Put 100 rounds through it already. Really like the feel and handling of the gun. Need more range time, which I can't wait for. Walther PPX 9mm.

What guns did you consider before you finally picked this one? Was 9mm the only caliber you considered? Just curious.

Nice gun, by the way! Congrats.

I narrowed it down to this one and the sr9. I choose a 9mm because it has good take down power but I need a good amount of practice. For 5 boxes of .40 ammo I can get 6 boxes of 9mm. I was wanted to stay under $450 new and got this one for $422 out the door. I tried a different couple of brands but the walther just fits my hands really well.

Thanks everyone and I can see range time becoming an addiction. I went through those 100 rounds fast and wanted more

Those are very nice. I like the thumb mag release on the PPX. I have a PPQ in 40 that is a natural fit for my hand, just not a huge fan of the mag release on the trigger guard.

I looked at that ppq real hard but out of my price range. That might be the next one though. How do you like it, any problems? Also the ppq m2 has the button release.

So far I like it a lot, no issues to date. And yes I know on the M2, mine is first gen but I still like it.
