This is another one that would be long overdo for a remake a big bore (1100-1200cc) Daytona for 07

If they style it anywhere near the 675 it ought to look amazing. I have seen a few 675's running around lately and they are cool looking bikes man and it sounds like they finally work like they look!

My buddy bought a triumph once. JUST once. ;) Then he got a SUZ 600.
Congrats on the bike. But if I was your best buddy in the whole wide world, I'd stab you in the front and tell you NOOO!! Other than just looks, what drives you to this Triumph?

Save yer pennies for maintenance

haha.. do a google for a power curve on the triple and compare it to the 750.. case closed especially at 25pnds lighter.

HP of a 4, torque curve of a twin, sound of a rabid pitbull destroying a fluffy bunny rabbit... whats not to love.. oh and at a grand less than the 750.. not to mention the non-squid factor (think insurance! ) it is a far better bargain in the end.

plus.. and this isn't necessarily important to me, but it could be one day.

CCS/Wera allow the 675 to race in light weight classes while the 750 gets tossed into the liter bike pond. I don't plan on racing, but who knows.

the height of it is somewhat suprising.. partly because i'm used to the busa.. I believe the seat height is 31 1/2 or 32 1/2 inches... HIGH.. I can flat foot it, but there isn't alot of extra leg left when I'm doing it.. and I'm 6' tall.

was funny watching the wife try to hop on the back seat like she does the busa.. hehe on the busa she just walks up and throws a leg over..

the triumph... it didn't work so well.. and getting off was almost hilarious.. almost ended up on her butt..

thats when I knew I would get to keep both bikes if I wanted.

to the 750 wanters.. I don't blame ya... there is a good arguement there, but I after poking around on them both for awhile in the showroom, reading, talking, and knowing roughly what the 750 is all about (had a 99 before the busa) I just couldn't get into it like I was feeling the limey rocket.

The only thing thats keeping me from pulling the coin out of it's stashin' place is the other part of me that wants to save money (I'm a huge tightwad) by buying a used bike. .. if i go that way it will be a 750, or a rc51 (yeah I know... left field and home plate) I always wanted a rc and if I could find a pretty good deal on a nice one I think I would go that way and wait to find a nice used 675 down the road or something maybe.

stay tuned, will let ya know how it all turns out.

good to post a little again.. I sorta got burnt out on the board and some of the crap that was going on there for awhile. Amazing I can still pretty much tell who's doing the typing without looking at the user name from some of ya.

stunnah, rev, yep, I recognized yalls chicken scratch typin and demeanor.

oh, somebody asked how much... msrp is $8,999 I've seen em' as low as $8,3ish but thats 8 hours away(assuming no setup fees) . Best deal i've been offered is $8,649 OTD.

talked with 4 dealerships and only one wasn't asking sticker plus fee's. The one I'm talking with does have a fee.. but it works out cheaper than what the other guys are asking before fee's.. so we'll see. Plus they are the closest dealership which is important when the next closest (triumph anyway) one is 3 hours away.
