I went on Netflix to see if they had this one listed today and nothing! Perhaps soon?

Ok guys. Finally got to watch the entire DVD.

First off; it's a preview edition so I didn't have any audio options like FASTER where you can switch to either 2.0 or Dolby 5.1 etc. And there weren't any additional scenes etc.

Vid starts off with a segment called 5 Minutes. 5 minutes until the race goes green. Ewan Mcgregor (Star Wars prequel and FASTER Narrator) is back for an encore narration. The video focuses obviously on MotoGP's return to America and Laguna Seca's Mazda Raceway for the RedBull USGP. McGregor makes it a point to mention that MotoGP hasn't been to U.S. soil since 1994.

The main focus is The Kentucky Kid (Nicky Hayden-winner of last years USGP), The Doctor (Valentino Rossi-7 time world champion) and The Texas Tornado (Colin Edwards-Rossi's team mate and runner up to last year's race). The other American highly featured is San Diego Native and past AMA Formula Xtreme Champion John "Hopper" Hopkins. Kenny Roberts JR wasn't mentioned as widely as the other 4.

The dvd also explores the background of the four racers mentioned above and their state of mind leading up to the actual race itself. That's the meat and potatoes of the entire film. The last 1/2 hour is the race and what each of the riders were thinking. A history of Laguna Seca is talked about as well as an onboard tour and helicopter view of the track. I myself didn't realize how many 'blind spots' were on that track that make it such a difficult circuit. DTK focuses on the Wednesday through Sunday of the USGP week. The testing, practicing, qualifying are all highlighted. Some of the statements from the 2nd dvd of Faster are also repeated almost verbatim in DTK, such as "MotoGP is home to the best riders, riding the best multimillion dollar prototypes...yadayada."

For fans of MotoGP, especially the American Contingent and Nicky Hayden, I highly recommend this video. It makes a great addition to director Mark Neale's other movie "FASTER."

I give it 5 out of 5 stars. This video will become a collector's item and go down in history as the "Must Have" video to own, along with Faster, Any Given Sunday, etc...

However, this being a preview edition, I did have some digital glitching during the segment on the Nicky Hayden bio. Mark Neale's company Dr. Flix offers a replacement guarantee so I may contact them to see if I can replace it with another one. Or I may just wait until the official version comes out at the end of the year.
