Muffler Question

Just wondering, how do you know if your can (EXHAUST, DON'T START !!) needs to be repacked ? I bought my Hindle used, and I'm not sure when it was done last. It's starting to pop every once, and a while on hard decel. It's an 06 LE, with 8500 miles. only 1500 miles on used, full Hindle pipe, K&N air filter, pair valve removed,, PCIII USB, and it was mapped. I'm trying to figure if my pipe is going bad, or I need it remapped ?

I have 20K on mine w/ no popping - my guess is the map.

You can repack a Ti Hindle, or is it a carbon fiber can?

I'd check your map, if it's too rich or you are still running the PAIR setup it's porbalby unburnt fuel 'popping'.

It got a lot worse since the weather dropped. It use to only do it once, and a while ?

It's an aluminum can, can you NOT repack aluminum cans ? The guy I bought it off of said he just repacked it for me, when he took it off his bike, but you know how that goes.

Something else, Is it normal to only get 28 - 32 miles per gallon, when having FUN (SPIRITED RIDE) ? I can get 50 mpg if I'm on the highway, and keep the revs low. But usually get around 34 - 38 normal riding in suburbs. I weigh 240 lbs.
