MS Gulf Coast Bike Fest 08

The MS Gulf Coast Bike Fest is coming to the Gulf Coast July 1 "“ 5, 2008. Bike Fest is a motorcycle festival for all bike enthusiasts. All brands of motorcycles are welcome as well as all enthusiasts are regardless if they ride a bike or not.

The sole purpose of the MS Gulf Coast Bike Fest is dedicated to rebuilding MS Gulf Coast tourism by bringing an annual event that will attract motorcycle enthusiasts from around the country to enjoy what the beautiful Gulf Coast has to offer. This will be accomplished by inviting a multitude of motorcycle riders and enthusiasts of all ages and from all walks of life, towns, and cities to the Gulf Coast to enjoy five days of Southern hospitality, food, music, and fun.

The event will be located on Hwy. 90 between the Alabama and Louisiana state lines. There will be live entertainment throughout the week as well as open markets for shopping. Three charity motorcycle runs will be hosted during the five day period in support of The Salvation Army.

Bike Fest will also be hosting a Media Day on June 30, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Hard Rock Casino in Biloxi, MS. There will be mayors and dignitaries from across the Coast attending. This Media Day is designed to kick off Bike Fest '08.

Edgewater Mall in Biloxi will be hosting a Bike Show throughout the week, starting Tuesday, July 1 through Sunday, July 6.

A Bikini Bike and Carwash will be hosted by the Sonic Drive Ins across the coast from Tuesday, July 1 through Saturday, July 5. Models will be conducting the bike and carwash.

Our sponsors will be conducting 3 Poker Runs. The first Poker Run will be Tuesday, July 1, 2008 with registration beginning at 9:00 AM at the LaFont Inn on Hwy. 90 in Pascagoula, MS. The stops for this Poker Run are at LaFont Inn in Pascagoula, KJ's 2 on Hwy. 90 in Gautier, Bottoms Up Lounge on Hwy. 90 in Ocean Springs, Lynchburg Landing on Government St. in Ocean Springs, and the last bike should be in at 5:00PM at the Hard Rock Café in Biloxi. There will be a kick off party at the Hard Rock Café and pool with live music by Left Broken and Center Stage. The public is welcome.

LaFont Inn in Pascagoula will be hosting a People's Choice Bike and Car Show on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 from 8:00AM to 3:00PM. The evening of July 2 from 6:00PM to 9:00PM, there will be a Biker's Ball and Bike Show at the IP Casino Resort & Spa in Biloxi. The public is welcome and tuxedos are not required nor desired.

A second Poker Run will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2008. Registration will begin at Ole Joel's in Pass Christian at 9:00AM. The first bike out will be at 10:00AM. The stops will be at Orangutans in Waveland, Knock, Knock Club on Hwy. 90 in Waveland, C&R's on Coleman Ave. in Waveland, Jack's on Blaize Ave. in Bay St. Louis, Daniel's on Seminary Dr. in Bay St. Louis, Gabby's on Main St. in Bay St. Louis, Kory's in Diamonhead, and Shaggy's at the Pass Christian Harbor. Shaggy's is hosting a Bikini Contest on the beach in Long Beach from 12:00PM to 4:00PM. The Poker Run ends at the Silver Slipper Casino with fireworks and a concert from 5:00PM to 9:00PM. The public is welcome.

Friday, July 4, 2008, Freedom Run Parade will depart from Edgewater Mall at 10:00AM passing Vietnam Memorial in Ocean Springs and WWII Memorial in Gautier. There will be a Market St. Venue in Pascagoula from 10:00AM to 4:00PM. The street will not open until after 4:00PM. At 4:00PM, the police will escort everyone to the Beach Party and there will be a fireworks display. Thunders Tavern Venue will be from 11:00AM until. The public is welcome.

The final Poker Run will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2008 with registration beginning at 9:00AM at Ole Joel's in Pass Christian. The first bike will be out at 10:00AM and the last bike in at 3:00PM. The Bike Fest Beach Bash will begin at the Washington St. Pier on Hwy. 90 in Bay St. Louis. We will start with a Live Remote from 102.3 at 1:00PM. Refreshments will include food, beer, soda, and Crawfish. A People's Choice Bike Contest will be held. MS Blues Boys will play from 2:30PM to 5:00PM. The Thunder Roads Fashion Show will be from 5:00PM to 6:00PM. 13th Hour will take the stage from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. The Bon Fire will start at 7:30PM. Bike Fest Beach Blast ends at 9:00PM. The public is welcome to attend.

On Sunday, July 6, 2008, The Hard Rock Casino is having a Fair Well Pool Party.
