Why indeed. I could never understand what the vandals get out of their actions. There’s no $$ payoff, little notoriety even for vandalizing something famous. And what little notoriety there is, is negative. I mean, what do they actually get out of it? Seems like people have way too much time on their hands and the loss of liberty just might be the answer for what ails them. That and making little rocks out of big rocks.

Acting before thinking comes to mind and not being educated as to the significance of their actions...

Look at all the idiots defacing and vandalizing ancient buildings and sculptures....

Recently people were vandalizing ancient indigenous drawings in one of our national parks.....these drawings were very difficult to access.....

Makes one wonder about these sorts of people....
