Luggage options

Ladies and Gents; Pipe has been looking at luggage options for the past few hours and would like some input.
Pipe has looked at the Ventura rack with the Aero-Spada VII bag for 51 Liters of storage. How exactly does the l-brackets mount? Replace Frankenstien bolts behind rider seat and then the bolts in the grab bar?

Also have looked at the RKA 34 Liter Starr III. Looks like it mounts to the rear seat. Don't have to worry about Paint, but can't run the hump when not in use.

Reason for looking into these options are because Pipe has an aftermarket undertail and side mount license plate, so saddlebags wouldn't have any rear mounting points.

Pipe already runs the Rapid transit stack LT tank bag, which is fine for a weekend trip, but would also like to pack some leathers also; pants, jacket, and racing boots.
Would the above two systems be big enough for the listed above?

Below are pics of the rear of the bike, no mounting points; and the Tank bag used. Which is good; but would like to take leathers next time.
Thanks.

Also, shameless plug; Check out the classifieds section. Have a wanted ad looking for cheap leather pants.

Ventura uses a special bracket that does use the frankenstein bolt location as well as both grab rail bolt holes... There are two each brackets, one for each side with three attachment points for each. It will hold alot of stuff for sure and if thats not enough you can zip two of the big bags together for maximum storage!

Yes, it will hold the gear you mentioned, but without a second bag your looking at tying down your boots on the rear luggage portion of this rack. Not a big deal as long as the weather is good!

Thanks Sonny.
So it only mounts to the 4 frankenstein bolts and no other places on the bike?
Just making sure.
Lot of money, but have always heard they are nice pieces and since Pipe can't use saddlebags; looks like it's the only way to go.
Just have to start saving now.

Pipe knows that they recommend the bag facing forward without a passenger, but would it be any problem to have it facing backwards and use the hump?

+1 on the ventura..kind of pricey..but very well made and easy to use and mount.

very easy to remove all. You can leave the main mounts attached and takeoff the interchangable racks

if you would like to give it a try before you buy...we can arrange for that.

here ya go...the first couple are with it removed while on a day run
