Lower links and ebay kickstand

I'm thinking about dropping my bike one inch has anyone had any good luck with eBay lowed kickstands?

It happened to me today. My 05 black and silver hit the pavement today. Somehow while I was inside for lunch...it rolled off its kickstand. I heard it hit and when I went outside, my worst fear was confirmed. I immediatley called the insurance company and they came out and appraised it. 1900...

I have not seen an adjustabe stand that has a decent size foot. If you park on softer surface you could have problems. I cut and welded my orignal stand. I feel a lot safer with that.

Totally agree - I didn’t trust the look of the ‘alternates’ on eBay. Very simple to cut / bevel ends / reweld the original. You’ll sleep better at night as well

Like Red said, you may be good just doing the kickstand mode. My opinion is that is a must do mod anyway.

Some Ebay stands are ok. Others not. It's a crap shoot, even with two of the same ones. My most recent one the spring perch is too close to the pivot so the springs aren't tight and the kickstand wants to fall down.

I ran a PSR brand adjustable kickstand on a couple other bikes and never had a problem, not super cheap, but average cost, good build quality, not sure if they make one for the Busa
