Low mid range and more question

For my own knowledge. Will some one pin this down for me. I hear if you do this. You will have more low end and more mid range . Go this way and more top end power . Where does one go from one to the other The Busa makes power from idle to 10K approx When (rpm or MPH) do we move from one to other . At 4000 from low to mid then 7000 to high end ? . I would like a little help in understanding this better .

I know the stacks I want to know the RPM that most people consider on a stock bike that we move from low to mid and so on. .
