Sorry I have not been on the board for a couple of days. On the bar ends, after some research, I found I needed to add weight to them so they will meet or exceed factory specs. That's 13 oz a piece. This prevents your hands from going numb after a long ride. The bar ends will cost more to ship after the increase in weight. The polishing is the easy part.
