2004 busa with about 12,000 miles had plugs change about three months ago
i have a pcIII but the exhaust is a gutted shorty muzzy (not done by me) im thinking it a fuel delivery issue at start up. I'm wondering if unplug the pcIII would the bike even start and possibly go back to org settings.

If you remove the PCIII, it will revert to the original settings in the ECU. It's worth a try to see if the PCIII is working properly....

I had a hard starting problem for about a year, would crank and catch and then stall then repeat for a bit until it caught all the way. I replaced my battery since it seemed like it could be a bit weak and that fixed it. now pretty much starts right up. I also keep it on a battery tender most of the time if I won't be riding it.

Make sure the battery is good and completely charged, always use the fast idle unless the bike is warm, and don't touch the throttle. ( on a Gen I )
