Starting Up

When I start the bike it will not start almost like it is flooded I replaced the plugs about a month ago but what else would I check. After a few tries it will fire up and no problems there but it's starting the bike I know it shouldn't be that hard.

Had the same problem with my gsxr 1000. My problem was a dirty fuel filter located inside the fuel pump

Just bought my bike a little over a month ago. It was hard to start but I figured out that the fast idle cable must be out of adjustment because anytime I tried to start it with the fast idle lever anywhere but a;; the way off, it would backfire repeatedly from flooding. Also 1/4" of travel on the fast idle lever would bring the revs up to 3000 RPM.. again don't know how normal this is but that's how mine is.

Once I stopped using the fast idle until the motor fired I don't have any more problems. Fires right up without it.
