Light upgrade

I want to upgrade the front lights on my Busa to Xenon or HID. I have been told different opinions as to whether this could cause me future problems. One shop I spoke with said there has been alot of bikes coming in with the wiring harness or plastic cover melted due to the heat with the Xenon bulbs. I have also been told there shouldnt be any issues as long as the bulbs arent to high og wattage.
Is anyone else having issues with the bulb upgrades. Or should I go with a HID setup?

Go with HID.
I put lower wattage xenon bulbs in my 97 GSXR when I had it.
I had to replace the wiring harness after the wires melted.

hid , well worth the $$ , you wont belive the difference , i think you can still get the group buy price? from xeonking?

John what wattage did you get for your bike. I see the range goes from 3k - 12k. Also did you replace both hi and low beams?

8000k yes i did high and low , it realy makes a big difference withy day and night riding!

I got a HID , but if you don't want to spend the cash try a sylvania silverstar bulb .

HID is a xeon bulb, but the kit comes with 2 boxes(exciter and igniter I think?)

Those keep your stock wiring from melting.
