Not that's what I'm talking about. I'm at ~11500 with ownership just right at 10 months which includes several days of bad weather and several weeks w/o ole Silver d/t parts being chromed. That makes me fee good, since I love long rides and will probably be over 25k within the next 1.5 years.

I have 4500 miles in 2.5 summer
have some catching up to do.
I used to do 15k a year in Montreal Canada with my gsxr 1100.
since I am in the states, I don't ride that much or at all.
Reason, no riding buddies.

I had a honda that I bought used and then pumped 45,000 miles on it making a total of 80,ish. I would say the busa would get about the same before nay problems start to popup.

im at 30k. i added a big bore at 15k and rebuilt it at this time also.

i run heavy nitrous shots and lots of it and literally POUND the bike year round. it never goes out with out being redlined, wheelied, leaned over, and gernally abused with out regard. drag races, top speed runs, roll ons, etc...

bottom line is, if your willing to fix things when they break, it will last forever, a rebuild isnt the end of the world anyway, i can get my engine rebuilt and touched up for about 1500 including parts... and it will get it as often as needed...
