I found a guy on craigs today practically giving away a new-ish Gibson LP Studio 60's Tribute in the coveted Goldtop color scheme (with my favorite... P90's!).

I haven't been this excited about a purchase since I bought my Hayabusa!

I've been watching his craigs ads for a few weeks. He started at $700, which is about the going rate on eBay, then he dropped the price by $50 every week or two. I'm really surprised it lasted this long. I expected to find something wrong with it. Quite the opposite... he got on the waiting list when they were announced, waited patiently, opened the box, put it on a stand, and played it a few times. It's never been in the case, never been out of the house, original strings, out of tune, etc. It's unmarked. New condition.

I usually like to negotiate a price, but in this case I just handed over the asking price.

Gibson makes/made a great Guitar. i love the solid feel and sound they have. :thumbs:
i have a 55-77 and just love it! it is one of the best investments i ever made.
