After not making another busa bash and not having even gotten the busa out of the garage this year, I was moping (sp) along on the RoadStar with the wife today thinking of the fun the rest of the .org was probably having. For a quick stretch we stopped by a local dealer and sittng in the window was nothing else but an 07 Repsol 1000rr. I must of walked by and peaked around it for 20 minutes total drooling.

Now it's got me thinking maybe it's time for a change, maybe I need some new blood in the garage. Maybe it's time to have a new BABY!!!

PS: The ride today was very nice, didn't want to imply I don't enjoy the Star.

If your not using the Busa now, will the Repsol suffer the same fate as your Busa after a couple months of ownership?

God Ken,

Time for one, just not enough of it. Stress is another, been under lots of it lately and the Busa doesn't seem the right choice for easing those tension unless a hospital stay is in order

.

I still can't help looking at her and seeing the $1,000's of dollars I'd still like to spend. Basically the Busa was bought as my dream toy, but also a more comfortable ride for the wife than the gixxer 750 I was coming off of. The Busa was a huge improvement in comfort for her and perhaps buying the RoadStar was the big mistake because she now knows what real comfort is. So since most of my riding is 2 up with her, the Busa just doesn't fill it's purpose anymore. Of course I'm not saying the Repsol does either.........But damn is it beautiful.

Maybe I've just lost interest in the Busa and need a new spark. I've got parts I've bought and never installed, Woodcraft cover, Modded GPS, Oil and Filter, frame plugs, new Pilot Powers.............all just sittng in a pile collecting dust. I keep dreaming of Galfer rotors, SS Lines, extended arms, Carrozzeria wheels.......etc,etc...

Maybe therapy could help

Don't judge a book by it's cover. It's just wearing pretty clothes!

If 2 up is the biggest part of your riding these days then perhaps no change is in order. Just keep the Busa for those occasional times when you're out and need to make a quick blast. It can still be the dream toy and spend whatever time you need to get her the way you want.

I think you just need to take the busa out for a fun run because you forgot just how much fun you can have on A GSX1300R HAYABUSA

Wanna sell some of those parts sitting in the pile? Namely the frame plugs and the woodcraft?

Why not try a GSXR1K7? That will whip the ____ out of the Repsol! And... for those days you have to behave.... Mode C!
