I'm sorry, but pulling apart things, and putting them back together isn't really my thing.

If for example I body an exhaust system or body kit, is there some place where they will install it?

Would it be like Pep Boys Auto, or something like that?

By the way, are slip-on exhaust street-legal, and are they easy to install?

Slip-ons, bolt-ons are very simple to install, a full system is much , much better.

Find a local oRg member for help. I'm not a mechanic and I find myself doing all my maintenance.

Any number of us with experience will be happy to walk you through the process, no matter what. But, I think you know that already.

Ask and you shall receive. 9 times out of 10, you'll get a step by step write up with pics. Most will also give a phone # so if you need extra guidence.

Not sure where you live but just about anyone of us would be happy to help you out. You can also find the shop manual on-line or the Haynes manual in a bookstore. Both are good references.

You are far better off asking here as we have all, for the most part, torn these bikes apart and put them back together (sometimes working afterwards) and can either tell you how to do something or find you a person, place and tools that can help.

While PepBoys and places like that have mechanics who work on cars, they are not geared for handling motorcycles. One thing you will find, once you get your bike, meet up with riders in the area, you will hear about good shops, local mechanics and others in and around you that can help as well.

We are an odd set of ducks in that we love to help folks who have an honest approach to wanting to learn about bikes, how they work, how to ride and where to buy equipment. If you have examples of what your looking at...post'em up and we will give you input.

slip on's 10 minutes each side and 2 tools, 1 open end wrench and 2 another open end wrench. you can borrow them from auto zone or advance auto parts, as for your second question, no pep boys is automotive only, you have to go to the dealer or motorcycle tune shop. where do you live. I am in florida, I can do most everything but some things I won't mess with and I have a friend who does that stuff.

Yeah, what they all said. You don't want to trust car shop guys to touch your baby and we have so many here that do this stuff all the time...post up your area and I'm certain guys will chime in and offer up help when you need it.

Great group here...
