i just down graded service and was running speed tests (had 50/20 service)

yes fios is going to be faster, but it all depends on how many people in your Neighborhood are on the internet, and every server is going to have different speeds.
you can also config you registy in windows so you can overclock your internet by sending bigger data packets, and how fast your computer is. theres alot of things that will affect your internet speed.
