No, I don't, but they have a healthy respect for those around 'em and I keep trying to raise kids that won't be "those kids", but honestly, one never knows 'til it's too late, right?

And kudos to you for having the patience to teach 9th grade!

I take it you are well aware that a 9th grade boy should never be told to randomly come up to the class to answer a question or for any reason? You know because of the wood effect?

oh I know well enough... heck that starts as soon as 7th grade (that is what I taught before 9th grade)

But MAN they know a lot more than I knew in 9th grade!

The wood effect should be a standard excuse as to why a boy's speech is not ready when it is due to be presented to the class.
