Well....I think I finally sorted out this motorcycle ADD I have been suffering from. I sold my last Hayabusa in March of 2007, and have owned two liter bikes since, a ZX-10R and a CBR1000RR, both for less than 6 months. Both bikes were great in their own right, but they just didn't do it for me. Most of the modern supersports are frickin' tiny, and I am not, at 6'4" tall and 230lbs in gear.
So after much surfing and late-night internet deliberation, I decided that I never should have sold the last Busa, and set out to source me another one.
I ended up selling the CBR to a guy who lives 1000 miles away in AZ, so I figured I might as well start looking in that area, which would enable me to deliver the bike to him.
I found three nice low-mileage Busas in the Phoenix area, two were bone stock and a third was nicely modded.
I drove down there last Wednesday in one shot, and delivered the CBR without any drama. On Thursday morning, I ended up buying the third Busa, which worked out perfectly. It had everything on it I would have done, and the price was sweet. Full Yosh exhaust, Speedo-healer, PCIII, Gears, windscreen, undertail, etc, etc...
I loaded and trucked that ***** home in one shot, making it from Phoenix to Fort Collins in 11 hours and 45 minutes. I should probably be in custody right now, but oh well....
