At what speed do you think you would settle in for your daily commute? Assume ideal weather and traffic. Just how fast would be fast enough for you on that drive to work everyday?

I was thinking about that this morning...it was a blue bird day; 55* and clear. Sparse traffic. Perfect road conditions.

I fantasized what it would be like to cruise along at 90, or 110, or ???, mile after mile. The road all to myself... Have to keep concentration...hmmm...nice ride...

I dunno...maybe settle in to a nice rythm at about 95...hmmm

Fun to think about while you plod along at 55.

my average speed on the interstate is 80-85mph and that's just keeping up with normal traffic:thumbsup:

I like it around 80 on the interstate. My bike feels good at that speed

For me it would just depend on how I was feeling. I exceed the speed limit on a regular basis, providing other vehicles aren't present at that moment. If there wasn't any limit, I would probably speed no more than I do now.

In town I think I would still run about 30-35mph. The 2 lane highway part of my commute with normal traffic 80-100mph. Work is only 6 miles away.

Down here everybody flies! We drive around 90 regularly.
I'd like to cruise around at 110-120 which is my fav speed on this bike.

up on the highway or interstate... honestly, about 80 to 90 for a commute.... much beyond that and you have to start working a bit while riding due to wind resistance etc...

However, admittedly, i have when under time constraints, commuted at much higher rates of speed

I've got 18.5 miles of 3 lane bliss between me and the club.
If I could legally and with out the interference of retards driving like retards, I'd like to get there in 10-12 minutes...140-150MPH would do.

when I first got my Busa I always found myself doing 90 so I would have to say that.

100 -120 mph cruising on the long straight highways I a little more 140-150 If there were no speed limits that is.

Thats all relative too cause if others on the highway my pace would be a little faster than anyone else on the highway :beerchug:
