First, I'm OK, not a scratch.

I pulled out of my garage, turned to be parallel to the garage door and noticed a Suburban parked about four garages down the driveway behind me.  I closed the garage door, put on my gloves and lean over to start the bike (still warm from an earlier ride) when I see the tailight of the Suburban in my right mirror coming quick.  I let off the clutch and turned the throttle duh, the bike's not running, can't move, all the while I'm screaming HEY! HEY! then BAM she hits me square from behind. I looked to see where to bail off to but the bike stays upright and got knocked about 3 ft forward.
It was night I'm getting ready to go to work and her rear windows are tinted dark.  There's plenty of lights in the driveway though.  She never saw me until she heard me screaming.  I have a very loud voice because her windows were closed and I had my helmet on.  The neighbor's dogs started barking even.
Anyway, the damage, her bumper hit just the cans, no body work at all. Also, the bolt that holds the bracket that holds the collector under the engine behind the oil pan is bent. She has insurance, and she's the sister of my neighbor who I'm friends with.  I think she was more shook up than I was.  I thought she was going to break down in tears at any second.  I'm going to take the bike to my mechanic and have him check it all out to make sure there's no other damage I can't see. And yes, I rode it to work, I didn't notice any problems at all. Whew!
So, here's the pics:
Right side can, very little damage.

This the bolt (in the middle of the pic) that holds the bracket for the collector, it's bent.

Better make sure the subframe isn't tweaked. If the cans took that kind of hit I bet the passenger peg mounts transferred it to the subframe. I'd also be that the whole exhaust system is tweaked if it shoved forward enough to bend that mount.

Time to upgrade to a full system at no cost to you!

Along with the sub frame, make sure the swing arm and wheel didn't get tweeked. I would check every little thing you can because you don't want it to haunt you down the road. Esp. on a Busa when you can get up to pretty high speeds, you don't want it to wobble or shake on you. Check everything!

I'm glad you're ok and the bike wasn't hurt anymore then it was. Atleast she almost has an excuse unlike the guy that ran into me last spring. It was about 4:00pm and I was sitting at a traffic light when he drove right into my muffler. My bike wasn't hurt at all but he broke his turn signal lens.

I think it looks like a total, go for an 04 while screaming ooh my aching back and neck.
Just kidding about the back thing, but if you can get it adjusted properly, looks like new exhaust coming your way with a good once over from your service shop.
Very few adjusters know bikes, be there and point out every little thing that resulted from the impact.
You are probably way more informed than they are and all you need to do is convince them that there is just cause for the repair as you and your service team see fit.
Plus there are always those little things called supplements after you find hidden damage once the repairs are begun.
