Buy a Hayabusa..

What if i go to Japan...and buy a Hayabusa and give it to some person there to modify it for THE BEST lOOKS and performance..

How much will it cost..USD..

You know with chrome wheels, phat wheels..Top speed limiter modified.. etc etc

Something like creekboy's Hayabusa..

Can this also be done in US or Canada..if yes where exactly..

Please I might sound absurd...but I really want a good looking

Hayabusa..without hindering performance...

BTW: this is my 1st post plez help me

Confused on your question.....If you are military.... You will not be allowed to import a Hayabusa into Japan.... I know it sounds crazy. I had a ZX-12 and got orders to Japan. Japanese customs would have required me to get and emissions test and a brake test.... Together these 2 inspections will cost about $3000. Instead I sold the 12 and bought a US Spec bike in Japan......saved the hassle. If you have a bike that you just can't part with...then pay the $$$$. Know this....they will have your bike for about a month, who knows what they do with it? If you can wait.....get a US Spec Busa in Japan and bring it back. You will not have any problems getting it back to the States....only if it is US Specs. If the bike is not US Specs, then it will cost a lot of $$$ to get it thru US Customs.

First reply: Yes the bike will be in Kuwait...not for military purposes though
cool.gif

Secondly what is the real diffrence between the US busa & Japanese one...

And the next thing is I want to modify it to the MAX

You know ..custom body graphics & paint...ofcourse changing the rims to something more chromier
cool.gif

And some more here ---adding nitrous, power mods, guages and tach, brakes, porting and polishing--etc

I really like what creekboy did with his Busa. What the heck the guy owns his own cutomizing Co.
wink.gif

So what I am thinking now is to import one either 4rm Japan if it has any other features

Or I'll go for the states one..or maybe If i figure out my way in Kuwait ..I'll buy one here itself
laugh.gif

But I wont be able to custom it at all..It'll all stock like you guys say it..

Please drop me a few lines as to which Companies small or big customize Haya the way i mentioned above

I like creekboy's ride..Its just sick..

Jap Specs is one that you normally would buy in Japan. Japanese Standards!

US Specs....Approved by Department of Transportation.

You can special order a US Spec bike while physically in Japan.....costs a lot more. With the added cost for US Specs in Japan and the exchange rate at the time...last year, It would have costed me over $14.5K for a Busa...

BTW....In Japan you're not gonna find the Blingy Busa's..... Not like in the States or Canada. Japanese are more "Go" than "Show"...... The chrome, lights, NOS or Turbo's.....Hard to find in Japan. They are mostly "twistie pro's" over there!

Busaluva,
I bought my Busa in Japan. Like Devil Dog said, it was an American Spec bike, which is the only reason I could bring it back. Depending on the import laws in Kuwait, you may not be able to bring a Japanese spec bike in. Anyway, I think the person to talk to heavily about this is Nitrous Junkie (in the UAE). I have ridden a Busa in Bahrain, but never in Kuwait - I do know that they want crazy cash for them over there! I think that 17-18g will buy a lot of bike, but shippiong and customs are gonna be heavy as well.

Good luck and welcome to the board!

With that kinda money you can really make your bike look hot. Before you drop that kind of cash check into the import laws in Kuwait to make sure you can get it back their. If so I would do most of the mods in the US that way you don't have to pay as much for shipping. Alot of places that you will get custom parts for are costly to ship overseas if they do at all. Just my $0.02

Thanks a lot for the 2cents all of you..

I've been saving for sometime now and i think it'll be right for me to check the Import Laws here..

I dont want to end on the other side
tounge.gif

But I still need to know some good places where I can modify the Busa I'll be buying.. In the States or in Canada

I'm having the same problem right now. I tried contacting Suzuki for a brake certification, and they won't issue me one. The only thing they can issue is an emissions cert. I tried contacting Kawasaki for my ZX10 to get a brake certification, and the only thing they can provide is a "brake certification for US specs". So I guess I would have to store both bikes for 3 years when I go to Okinawa. I'm not spending $$$ to ship my bike to mainland Japan just to get it registered. WTF! what's soooo different about Japanese brake standards?

the japanese one will cost you over $30,000.00 and not much is different. once you go to japan you will quickly see no one can afford to ride sportsbikes over their.
