Bummer. Looks like a nice van. Hope everyone is OK.

Used to drive my crazy when the 4x4 crowd would put industrial-strength bumpers (or tow hitches) on there rigs. All that collision energy goes right into the frame versus a throw away bumper.

Didn't even set the airbags off. What's the criteria ... less than 10mph?

It doesn’t take much. I had a claim for a Maxima that the sub frame bottomed out on. No damage. Except for two air bags.

I used to write auto collision estimates. Got to tour a bumper reconditioning place once. Impressive what they could do with plastic bumper covers.

We used to put them in a tank with really hot water and it would mold a majority of shape back on its own, then weld and repair. That was back in the late 80's.
