how do you go about shipping a bike?

just looking for info on shipping one. i've heard from a few people its around 500 to ship one.

I always wanted to ship my bike to seattle and Im in pa. So cost to cost and this place isnt all that bad.

I thought of crating my bike up and going with forward air and just treat it as freight. I was wondering if it would be cheaper.
