Got my speedo up to 170mph. Does anyone know how fast I was really going?

Lots of variables but avg of 7% less than reading, approx real speed of 158 give or take.

I put the speedohealer on mine, -7.5% put it dead on. Now I've installed the 43t rear sprocket, it's set at -15%

The faster you go the more it will be off. You can get it accurate @ 60mph with the Speedohealer or Yellow box but it won't be on at 160mph. It can be anywhere from 6-16% off past 150mph+...

i dont think you are correct, from my experience it is always off the same percentage

meaning if its 5 mph off at 50

it will be 15 mph off at 150

18 TOOTH FRONT SPROCKET ...Does it correct it?
I read somewhere that the Hayabusa was originally engineered for 18 tooth and not 17...

I read that somewhere too. Not sure where. Not sure if the 18tooth corrects for the error but I see what you are talking about.

My 175 on speedo pass was 157 actual.

Maybe but I could NEVER get my 03 SE to read 100%. It may have been my Canadian spec computer but I had a hell of a time.

I spent an entire weekend testing the Yellowbox -vs- GPS and could never get it 100% correct. It's either going to read correct at 60 or 160 but not both based on how the computer/sensor converts the speed.

Another problem I had was with a Canadian/KPH spec bike you will never get the mileage to read correct either. You are better off buying a US spec cluster than trying a yellow box or something else to get both reading correct when swapping face plates....
