I had a 87 1k hurricane back in 92. Had a cam chain issue and regardless of how many times I treated the tank, it would inevitably get crap in the carbs. Blackbird or zx11. Forget the hurricane.

I owned a blue and silver 88 model and it was heavy but a good ride for what it was back in the day.I broke the double row chain on the crank had it repaired big $$$ and it broke again jamming those gears too hard I guess bought the Busa after that been happy every since
