SAFETY:  The Vemar helmets are DOT and 22-05.  If you're interested in our take on 22-05 please click HERE.  To summarize, we feel the 22-05 standard is excellent, and gets our nod over SNELL for motorcycle applications

Fully legal for all racing organizations including FIM, AMA, WERA, etc. Light-weight design maximizes protection and passes both DOT and the stringent ECE 22.05 safety standard, the same standard used in Moto GP

Interesting how the ad specifies "NO RETURNS" under any circumstances.  Wonder why?

I kept my mouth(keyboard) shut about that one... heh.

also, I thought carbon fiber is super strong, and super light?

guess that is just stupid talk. I think Cart and Indy cars are stupid for using carbon fiber..

Yeah i know, Just had to say something, cause im an A hole haha, but then again, carbon fiber saves weight on street cars too, i would gladly trade my 60+ pound stock hood for the 22 pound carbon replacement, but i dont want to pay for it, haha

Went to Encino and tried on the helmet.

Wow!!!! It is LIGHT!!!

Fits my head great, I'm a 7 1/4 hat size and the Large fits me. Nick(the helmet dude) is out of smalls, mediums and larges, so if ya have a xl melon you might still have time.

They're selling like hotcakes. While I was in the store trying on helmets, 2 of them sold by phone.

Chatterbox speakers go in just fine, now I have to do a run on the bike!

Talked with a fella named Andrew when I ordered mine and he said the boss told them to get rid of them. Thinks they came into the U.S. overpriced and that's why they had a surplus.

Not to rain on anyones parade here but...lemme share why I'm not "jumping on this deal".

Vemar CF Lids WERE all the rage when they first hit the marketplace but the high msrp from a new name precluded any stunning sales...and now HJC, KBC, Scorpion, Shoei and Arai are either "poised to" or "already are" offering up Carbon Series lids and now the small company, new name vemars are on "last run/blue light special"...point being?...I'd advise those purchasing vemar CF lids also grab an extra 1/2 doz. or so face shields...cause once ya scratch up the one it comes with?...it ain't like you're gonna be able to pull into the local stealership and get a replacement faceshield for your vemar CF lid...and they dorks behind the parts counter will be like..."V Who?"
laugh.gif

Food for thought and buyer beware...and it's a shame really as they do appear to be "a notch above" (design/style wise) as far as CF lids go.
