High Mileage

My nephew just gave me his 2000 Busa. What I want to know is with over 30,000 miles, what type of oil should I use? Any suggestions would help me out.

I use Amsoil 10-30. just did a fresh oil change on my 2006 that has just over 30k on it. 30 is just getting broke in.

I've had good luck with Amsoil, too. I use 0W-40.

Amsoil 10w40
Maxima extra4 10w40
Rotella T6 5w40

Really, any synthetic motorcycle or HDEO - Heavy Duty Engine Oil will do well

And just for the record (again) 30K isn't high mileage for a bike. Would you consider 30K high mileage in a car? The busa is a 1.3L 4 cyl liquid cooled motor. Not unlike one in your car.

I'm just sayin'. 30K miles on a single cylinder air cooled 600cc dirtbike is one thing, on a busa, it's just gettin' warmed up!

I'd like to thank everyone for your reply's. Very helpful. This is my first bike, I didn't know that 30,000 miles was just getting broken in. I'm glad I joined hay.org. I know if i need help with anything else i know where to turn.
