Help With Grips And Throttle Tube Please!

Hi all! I am looking to replace my grips. I currently have these

I want to replace them with either the Progrip 719 or the 728's

Lots of mentioned that I should use the 2004 R1 throttle tube, so I found this..

Now, question is... does the throttle tube come off the stock grip? and can I use the progrips with the r1 tube?

Hope I make some sort of sense!

Also, if anyone has any opinions on the 719 comfort vs the 728 that would be great as well. I usually do long rides and my current grips kinda suck.

Yes you can put what ever grip you want on the R1 tube.

Highly recommend the pro grips 761. Yes, they will fit onto the R1 throttle tube.

I've used the R1 tube and pro grips 761 on my 08, 09 and 2011 busas. I do a lot of back roads/touring.
