Headlight bulb replacement on Gen 1(question)

high beam went out on my 05 low beam still works are they 2 bulbs or 1 bulb and can you get them at auto parts store and do you have to remove the nose of the bike to replace them. (Thanks for replys)

9005 High beam

You should be able to get it without removing the nose. The most you would have to take out is the black plastic underneath it.

any auto part store carries them unless you want to donate extra money to the dealer

Two different bulbs as mentioned above. From underneath works, also removing instrument panel another way to access. Read the shop manual it's got all the info you need...

Thanks fellow busa riders it lasted almost 5 yrs & 44,000 miles i always run high beam on i just changed it its bright again

Remove the cover plastics from both sides of the gauge cluster. Remove 2 bolts holding the bottom of the gauge cluster. Then pull the gauge cluster out (there are 2 post on the top of the cluster that pop into rubber grommets). After that the headlights are completely visible and easy to access.
